Sunday September 22: 11:15am. Crucial Conversation in the library. A representative from the San Diego Memorial Society, a non-profit, no pressure organization that helps people obtain simple, dignified, inexpensive arrangements for cremation or burial will be coming to talk with us and answer questions. Come and join this important conversation!
Sunday September 22: 7:00pm, “King Lear” in the Westminster Theater. A staged-reading presented by the Shakespeare Society of San Diego . For nearly 20 years the Shakespeare Society has been inspiring a love of literature and theater in the community through performances and outreach. Come see this staged reading of William Shakespeare’s great tragedy!
Friday, September 27-Sunday Sept 29: Women’s Retreat 2019! All female Westminster members invited. Join in this powerful, joyful weekend. We will be reading and discussing “An Altar in the World” by Barbara Brown Taylor. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info, or to sign up!
Sunday, September 29: 10:00am. is “Dude Sunday” at Westminster. While many of the women, including pastor Megan, are on retreat this weekend, Alex Wirth will be leading worship.
Sunday October 6: 11:15, New Member Meeting in the library.. Members old and new are invited to join for this meeting and learn more about the church.
Sunday October 13th: 10:00am, Brunch Church Sunday! In the theatre. Worship, chat and eat brunch (provided by Westminster). This unique form of worship and gathering is open to anyone and everyone. a great day to bring friends and family!
Saturday November 16: 5:30pm. Thanksgiving Dinner at Westminster. New this year: “no need to sweat it out in the kitchen” option. For a fee of $10, the kitchen gnomes of Westminster will prepare a dish in your name for sharing at the feast. November 23 at 7:00 pm and November 24 at 2:00 pm Broadway Bound is a showcase for a group of young performers (ages 10-15) who have participated in previous Vanguard productions, Annie, Seussical, A Christmas Carol and most recently the Wizard of Oz. This group of talented singers and dancers will perform songs from a variety of musicals from Annie Get Your Gun to Wicked and Dear Evan Hansen. The production is led by Musical Director Pam Monroe with choreography by Linda Weber and direction by Tom Haine, assisted by Maria Hiland. A goodwill donation will be taken at the door.
Sunday November 24: 11:30 -1:00. Alternative Gift Fair. There will be many arts and crafts items for sale to benefit our Mission Giving.
