Saturday November 16: 5:30pm. Thanksgiving Dinner at Westminster. New this year: “no need to sweat it out in the kitchen” option.  For a fee of $10, the kitchen gnomes of Westminster will prepare a dish in your name for sharing at the feast.  RSVP for the dinner to Marilyn Thoman, email mthoman@sdsu.edu, 619 208 7872 or 619 222 9114.

Sunday November 17: In Honor of Donald WorleyAfter service, In honor of Donald Worley and his birthday, Tricia Worley invites everyone to join in the memorial garden for the unveiling of Don’s memorial plaque. Followed by lemon bars and lemonade for coffee hour, Don’s Favorite birthday treats.

November 23 at 7:00 pm and November 24 at 2:00 pm Broadway Bound is a showcase for a group of young performers (ages 10-15) who have participated in previous Vanguard productions, Annie, Seussical, A Christmas Carol and most recently the Wizard of Oz.  This group of talented singers and dancers will perform songs from a variety of musicals from “Annie Get Your Gun” to “Wicked” and “Dear Evan Hansen”. The production is led by Musical Director Pam Monroe with choreography by Linda Weber and direction by Tom Haine, assisted by Maria Hiland. A goodwill donation will be taken at the door.

Sunday November 24: 11:30 -1:00. Alternative Gift Fair. There will be many arts and crafts items for sale to benefit our Mission Giving.

Saturday December 7th: 2:00pm. Second Annual Building Community Bridges. Westminster is excited to once again partner with Bayside Community Center for this multicultural festival and fundraiser. Performances, including Taiko drumming, fan dancing, dragon dancing and Ballet Folklorico will begin at 2:00. Followed by appetizers and a silent auction. $50 suggested donation, kids attend for free. All proceeds will benefit Bayside Community Center and their important work in the community of Linda Vista.

Sunday December 8th: 3:00pm. Handel’s Messiah.  Point Loma Nazarene University presents this beloved holiday masterpiece, The Messiah. Featuring our very own Pam Monroe. Brown Chapel, Point Loma Nazarene University.
