Recap of 2007

In 2007, here’s some ways our committee fostered Peace and Justice. We helped organize the Interfaith picnic at Rohr Park with the mosque we visited earlier. We co-sponsored the WOW-WE Craft Fair and will again in 2008. We had a speaker discussing  establishing  a U.S. Department Peace and several representatives from  the effort to set up a global Marshall Plan spoke. We believe in educating ourselves about peaceful solutions to global violence. Last October, when we have our annual Peacemaking Offering on World-Wide Communion Sunday, our committee planned special activities like African music, international flags and food, special prayers to highlight Peacemaking for our congregation. Some times we join in Peace Marches or Rallies.
